Voici un jeune Conus milneedwarsi. Sa spire n' est pas encore développée comme sur ceux de grande taille. Acheté sur Ebay pour Conus milneedwardsi, issu d' une vieille collection (1993), le taxon qui l' accompagne dit ''south India, trawled, commercial fishermen'' ce qui m' a amené a le taxoner clytospira (variété Indienne) pour le fun, sans valeur taxonomique. La coquille n 'est pas parfaite; je trouve trop souvent ce défaut dut aux produit trop agressifs utilisé pour retirer le periostracum. Il vit des côtes est-africaines à la Thaïlande. En des temps plus anciens il était appelé ''Gloire des Indes'' mais lisez ce qu' en disait Lauer dans Rossiniana.Taille: 67 mm.

Purchased on Ebay for Conus milneedwardsi, from an old collection (1993), the taxon that accompanies said '' south India, trawled, Commercial Fishermen'' which led me to the taxon clytospira (Indian variety)for the fun, no taxonomic value.The shell is not perfect, I find too often this default caused by products too aggressive used to remove the periostracum. He lives from the east-african coast to Thailand. In old times it was called ''Glory of India'' but read this that said Lauer in Rossiniana.Taille: 67 mm.

En voici un autre de 108 mm. J' ai été obligé d' assombrir les couleurs pour obtenir le fond noir!
